What is in them
The K-Chicken Sandwich is crispy chicken with spicy gangjung sauce and pickles on a soft brioche bun, 710 calories. The K-Chicken Deluxe Sandwich is the same build with cheese and lettuce added, 830 calories.
Either one can be made a combo with French Fries and a Soft Drink. The K-Chicken Sandwich combo is $11.77 and the K-Chicken Deluxe Sandwich combo is $12.27.
What gangjung means
Gangjung is how Korean fried chicken gets finished. The chicken is fried first, then coated in a sweet heat glaze that sets on the crust rather than soaking into it, so the outside stays crisp while it picks up a sticky, sweet and spicy layer. That glaze is the difference between these two and a plain crispy chicken sandwich.
LOTTERIA has been Korea’s No.1 burger brand since 1979, and these sandwiches are the Korean read on something most people in Fullerton have already eaten a hundred versions of.
