The patty is the whole point. It is formed from whole shrimp rather than a paste, then breaded and fried, so the outside goes crisp while the inside stays springy. Lift the top bun and you can see it.

Two sauces go on together. Tartar handles the seafood and thousand island brings the sweetness and acidity that a fried patty needs. Lettuce and onion keep the bite cold and sharp against the heat of the fryer. The bun is toasted sesame, not brioche.
