On Friday, September 25, Chuseok, we set a place at our tables for the seniors of Fullerton. By the time we closed at 10pm, 137 guests 60 and over had joined us for a meal on the house.

A full table at lunch

Around lunchtime, a group arrived together in matching white-and-blue outfits and pushed two tables together under our K-Burger wall and the hanok mural. A few of them waved at the camera. For a little while, that corner of the dining room felt like a holiday table.

There was nothing to sign up for. Guests simply asked at the counter, all day long, from open to close.

Why Chuseok

Chuseok is Korea’s harvest holiday, a day when families gather, share a meal, and honor their elders. We opened in Fullerton in August 2025 as the first LOTTERIA in the United States, and over the past year Korean American seniors have become some of our most familiar faces. This was our way of saying thank you.

Thank you

Thank you to every guest who came in, and to everyone who brought a parent or passed the word to a neighbor. We plan to keep making room at the table for our neighbors whenever we can.
